I make a mean cup of tea, if you give me the right ingredients.

Though my culinary skills are limited I recognise the significance of using high-quality ingredients to enhance the flavour of even the most simple of pleasures - a cup of tea.

In contrast, within the world of interior design, the line between beauty and harm can often become blurred, allowing for visually stunning results even when using materials that are detrimental to our wellbeing and the environment.

Accused, rightly so by my 7 year old son Eric, of not being as ‘green’ as his aunts, coupled with an increasing discomfort with many of the materials and shortening lifespan in today’s furnishings, fabrics and paints I began to question their exact ingredients and explored alternative, healthier, and more environmentally conscious options. The knowledge gained has led me to adopt a strict set of sustainable principles and guidelines which in turn has transformed the way I curate my interiors.

Gytha was born out of wanting to share this knowledge with as wide an audience as possible; to champion those brands and products with sustainability at their core and to be an invaluable source for conscious consumers.

I very much look forward to chatting to you,

Gytha xx
